Role Overview
The Onsite Delivery Director is a senior leadership role responsible for managing large-scale client engagements and delivery portfolios, driving end-to-end program execution, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology solutions. This role requires strong expertise in global delivery management, digital transformation, supply chain/logistics programs, and executive stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Delivery & Portfolio Management
- Lead and manage multi-million-dollar (or Euro) delivery portfolios across multiple programs and accounts.
- Ensure successful execution of complex, large-scale transformation initiatives across industries such as retail, telecom, logistics, and manufacturing.
- Drive delivery predictability, governance, and execution discipline through structured frameworks.
- Oversee program lifecycle management from planning to execution and closure.
2. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary onsite leader and trusted advisor to client executives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with C-suite stakeholders to align IT initiatives with business goals.
- Lead strategic discussions, risk mitigation, and issue resolution to ensure delivery success.
3. Transformation & Strategic Leadership
- Drive digital transformation initiatives, including AI, automation, and ERP/TMS implementations.
- Define and implement target operating models and delivery strategies.
- Enable business transformation through supply chain and logistics modernization.
4. Global Delivery & Team Leadership
- Lead and scale global, cross-functional delivery teams across geographies.
- Build high-performing teams, foster collaboration, and drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Ensure alignment across business, technology, and vendor teams.
5. Financial & Commercial Management
- Own and manage P&L responsibilities, including revenue growth, cost optimization, and margin improvement.
- Drive commercial negotiations, contract governance, and SLA adherence.
- Identify opportunities for account growth and expansion through delivery excellence.
6. Governance, Risk & Quality Management
- Establish and enforce program governance frameworks, KPIs, and reporting structures.
- Monitor risks, proactively mitigate issues, and ensure high-quality delivery standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery efficiency and outcomes.
7. Domain & Technology Leadership
- Lead initiatives in:
- Supply Chain & Logistics Transformation
- Transportation Management Systems (TMS/OTM)
- ERP & enterprise integration programs
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Provide expert guidance on enterprise architecture and integration strategies.
Required Qualifications
- 20+ years of experience in:
- Program/portfolio management
- Global delivery leadership
- Digital transformation programs
- Proven experience managing large-scale enterprise programs and portfolios.
- Strong domain expertise in supply chain, logistics, retail, or telecom sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in P&L management and client engagement at executive level.
Preferred Certifications
- PMP / SAFe Agilist / Scrum certifications
- Six Sigma Black Belt
- Industry certifications in OTM, GTM, or ERP platforms
