Cloud-Native Java Backend Developer

You will help build a new cloud-native backend platform focused on application distribution and integrations for connected vehicles. The service is being developed as a modern, scalable product where backend engineering and operational excellence go hand in hand.

You will join a DevOps team with end-to-end ownership of the service lifecycle, from development and deployment to monitoring, operations, and continuous improvement. The work happens in close collaboration with product, architecture, security, and operations, which means you will be part of both technical decisions and the practical work of turning them into a stable production service.

This role is a strong fit if you enjoy modern backend development, clear ownership, and the chance to shape a platform from an early stage using a contemporary cloud-native stack.

• You will design, build, and improve backend services for application distribution and system integrations.
• You will develop Spring Boot services running in a Kubernetes-based environment.
• You will create and maintain REST APIs and microservices with a focus on scalability, stability, and quality.
• You will work with Azure services such as PostgreSQL, Blob Storage, and Service Bus as part of the solution architecture.
• You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support a DevOps way of working with monitoring, logging, and production operations.
• You will collaborate closely with product owners, solution architects, security specialists, and operations to move the platform forward.
• You will take part in continuous improvements across the full lifecycle of the service, from requirements and implementation to deployment and long-term reliability.

• Experience in modern cloud-native backend development.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
• Experience with Azure cloud services, including PostgreSQL, Blob Storage, and Service Bus.
• Experience designing and building REST APIs and microservices.
• Practical knowledge of DevOps practices such as CI/CD, monitoring, and logging.
• Experience working in agile development, ideally within SAFe.
• Fluent English.

• Experience with the Volkswagen Azure-based platform Megatron.
• Experience from automotive platforms or connected vehicle services.
• Front-end knowledge or hands-on front-end experience.
