Data Engineer - Azure Databricks

Mission

• We are looking for skilled Data Engineers to help unlock greater value from the organization’s existing data assets.
• The role focuses on building reliable data pipelines and scalable data products on a modern Azure Databricks platform, working closely with the business to turn requirements into practical, value-driven solutions.
• The assignment supports analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives, with strong emphasis on data quality, traceability, documentation, and long-term maintainability. A key part of the mission is to establish sustainable ways of working and best practices aligned with data mesh principles.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and data products on Azure Databricks
• Enable data for analysis, reporting, and AI use cases
• Translate business needs into well-structured, scalable data solutions
• Ensure high standards for data quality, lineage, documentation, and traceability
• Contribute to defining working methods, standards, and best practices for long-term data platform management
• Collaborate closely with operations, analysts, and data scientists
• Communicate technical concepts and solutions in a clear and pedagogical manner
• Focus development efforts on initiatives that deliver measurable business value

Required Qualifications

• Experience building data pipelines and data products using Azure Databricks or similar cloud-based data platforms
• Strong understanding of data modeling, granularity, and historical data management, and how these impact analytics and business outcomes
• Good communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams
• Proven ability to collaborate closely with business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and data governance
• Experience handing over solutions to operations or other delivery teams
• Interest in coaching and supporting colleagues on data-related topics
• Experience working with data related to customer behavior, profitability, risk, or operational efficiency
• Swedish language skills are preferred
