Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership

• Lead the design and development of BI architecture, data models, and data pipelines.
• Define best practices for data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting.
• Review code and ensure high-quality, maintainable BI solutions.
• Select appropriate BI tools and technologies.

2. BI Solution Development

• Design and develop dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.
• Optimize data models for performance and scalability.
• Implement data transformations, aggregation, and business logic.

Common tools include:

• Microsoft Power BI
• Tableau
• Qlik Sense

3. Data Engineering & Architecture

• Design data warehouse or lakehouse architecture.
• Develop ETL pipelines using tools like:
• Azure Data Factory
• Apache Airflow
• Informatica
• Work with databases such as:
• Snowflake
• Amazon Redshift
• Google BigQuery

4. Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor BI developers and data engineers.
• Conduct design reviews and technical guidance.
• Ensure agile development practices.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work with business teams, product owners, and analysts.
• Translate business requirements into technical BI solutions.
• Deliver insights to support strategic decision-making.

6. Data Governance & Quality

• Ensure data consistency, security, and governance.
• Define data standards, naming conventions, and validation rules.
• Implement monitoring and data quality checks.
