Senior Power BI Developer

Job Overview:

The client is undertaking a strategic initiative to establish a modern analytics platform aimed at enhancing data-driven decision-making across the organization. This platform will support advanced data visualization, reporting, and seamless integration with existing data sources.

As part of this large-scale transformation, the client is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to contribute to the migration and development of reporting solutions. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, data teams, and solution architects to ensure effective implementation and adoption of Power BI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and design interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
• Publish and manage reports within Power BI Report Server (PBIRS).
• Create standardized report templates to ensure consistency and usability across the organization.
• Define and implement design guidelines tailored to users with varying levels of Power BI expertise.
• Configure and manage report scheduling and automated distribution processes.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance Power BI knowledge and adoption among internal teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish best practices, workflows, and governance processes for reporting.
• Ensure reports are user-friendly, intuitive, and aligned with business requirements.
• Work with data models and underlying data structures to support accurate and efficient reporting.

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop
• Hands-on experience with Power BI Report Server (PBIRS)
• Experience with on-premises Power BI solutions
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts
• Proven ability to develop user-centric and high-quality reporting solutions
• Experience in creating and managing scheduled report distributions
• Prior experience delivering Power BI training sessions

Experience:

• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in BI development, with a strong focus on Power BI
• Experience working on large-scale data migration or analytics platform projects is highly desirable

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field

Language Requirements:

• Swedish – Fluent (both written and spoken)

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to undergo security clearance as required by the client
• Strong analytical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment

Nice to Have:

• Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
• Knowledge of Python for data analysis or automation
• Experience in defining design standards and governance frameworks for reporting platforms

Work Environment:

The role is primarily based at the client’s premises in Stockholm, with limited remote work flexibility. The consultant will be part of a collaborative and data-driven environment focused on delivering impactful analytics solutions across the organization.
