Business Controller – Manufacturing and Procurement Operations

Flokk is seeking a structured, analytical and operations oriented Business Controller for our Manufacturing and Procurement Operations (MPO) in Røros Norway. You will be based at our modern chair manufacturing site in Røros and play a key role in connecting Group Finance in Oslo with the European MPO organisation. Through this role, you will secure financial alignment, transparency and disciplined follow-up of performance, continuous improvement initiatives and MPO strategic priorities across our global production footprint.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the key financial partner between Group Finance and the European MPO organisation, securing consistent reporting, forecasting and budgeting, and sharing insights with both MPO management and Flokk Group Management
  • Own the financial follow‑up of MPO strategy, major initiatives and continuous improvement activities – including business cases, benefit tracking and performance reviews
  • Ensure robust KPI reporting across all areas of the MPO organisation, including productivity, cost development, quality and delivery performance
  • Prepare and present financial insight and decision material for MPO and Group management, including scenario analyses and investment/capacity cases
  • Strengthen MPO financial processes, data governance and management routines, in close cooperation with Group Finance and local factories
  • Ensure reliable and structured data, including maintenance of the product costing model in M3 (ERP), and secure that data are correctly captured in the data warehouse and visualised in Power BI
  • Contribute actively to ad‑hoc analyses and projects across our global production footprint

Who you are

  • Master’s degree in finance, industrial economics or a related field. A bachelor’s degree combined with strong controlling experience may also be relevant
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience from controlling or performance management, preferably within manufacturing and/or procurement
  • Enjoy working with master data, ERP and BI tools, and have hands‑on experience with Power BI; experience from M3 or similar ERP systems is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and sound business judgement, with the ability to translate numbers into operational insight and actions
  • Structured and precise, comfortable working in an international, high‑pace environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Clear and confident communicator who is able to bridge finance and operational functions, and who is comfortable challenging and being challenged
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in a Scandinavian language is an advantage

  • Proactive in driving improvements and performance, and comfortable engaging with both shop‑floor teams and senior management
  • Collaborative and relationship‑oriented, able to build strong internal networks across sites and functions, while remaining resilient and independent in handling deadlines and stakeholders
  • Curious and data‑driven, with a genuine interest in improving performance through better use of systems, data and analytics
  • Willing to travel and participate in meetings across time zones, and identifies with Flokk’s values: Human‑centred, Sustainable and Innovative
