The Role KPMG Sweden is seeking an experienced and dynamic Tax Specialist to join the Nordic Tax Reimagined team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in indirect tax technology and transformation to support clients in developing and implementing innovative tax solutions. You will play a critical role in building out our practice to support our clients in shaping their indirect tax data strategy, creating indirect tax technology roadmaps, and guiding them through vendor selections. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of building out our practice, driving business development, and enhancing the value of our services. The role involves close collaboration with the Nordic Indirect Tax teams and includes being a member of the EMA E-invoicing and Indirect Tax Technology team.

The role is based in the office on Vasagatan in Stockholm.

We are seeking a professional with an educational background within auditing and tax. The ideal candidate will have more than ten years of hands-on experience in indirect tax technology, data management, or a related role, preferably gained within leading consulting firms—such as the Big Four—or multinational corporations. A proven track record in leading and implementing indirect tax technology or data management solutions is considered a strong advantage.

A solid understanding of indirect tax data management and compliance processes, along with familiarity with indirect tax technology platforms, is essential. This includes experience with data analytics tools, data lakes, data warehouses, and data engineering platforms such as Databricks, as well as tax provision and compliance software. The candidate should demonstrate excellent analytical skills and possess a deep understanding of financial data, accounting systems, and financial operations.

Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are critical for success in this role.
