If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.  Volvo Group Trucks Technology and Industrial Division are looking for a new colleague within the ECU Hardware group for Embedded Platform Factory in Gothenburg. We do this with the high Volvo Quality Standards ensuring the overall quality of HW and/or Systems within the Volvo Group. Essentially, we are a team dedicated to our work, fostering creativity and operating with trust in everyone, emphasizing teamwork, and providing opportunities for both professional and personal growth.  Position description: As Global Component Responsible you will understand the needs, specify and together with a supplier be responsible for ECU(s) in our new electrical architecture. You will be responsible for securing that the technical solution, electronics and mechanics, fulfills our needs. The mission is to define the requirements, work closely with our supplier, and secure that the delivered ECU meets the target milestones and is physically installed properly in the target environment.  You will in this role work together within Volvo in a cross-functional team, often with global representation. In addition, you will also cooperate with external suppliers to develop electronics and ECU housing.  Key responsibilities: •    Define requirements for designing and developing hardware components •    Providing technical leadership and guidance •    Collaborating with cross-functional teams •    Managing vendors and ensuring quality standards •    Testing, validation, and documentation •    Ensuring compliance and managing risks •    Continuous improvement and innovation •    Providing internal customer support as needed Who are you We believe that you are genuinely interested in electrical, and electronics engineering and you want to take part in the very exciting journey we have in front of us developing an EE architecture for the future. Qualifications: •    University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar •    At least 3 years of experience within EE hardware development of embedded systems •    Fluent in English, written and spoken •    A successful experience in electrical HW development will be an important merit •    Experience from Advanced Product Quality Planning is a merit •    ISO 26262 knowledge is a merit  A strong candidate possesses an analytical mindset, drive for improvement, and values personal integrity. They are results-oriented and flexible, with excellent networking and communication skills, contributing effectively to team dynamics.
