Senior Software Engineer GCP Platform

You will take a leading technical role in the continued evolution of a large-scale Google Cloud Platform environment. The role combines software engineering, platform development, cloud architecture and technical governance in a setting where quality, security, scalability and maintainability are central.

You will own the technical direction of the platform and work closely with internal stakeholders as well as an external Managed Service Provider. This means you will influence both long-term architecture and day-to-day engineering decisions, while helping ensure that solutions, infrastructure and code meet high standards across the platform. • You will own and develop the technical roadmap for the GCP platform.
• You will design and architect new platform capabilities using modern cloud-native practices.
• You will act as the final technical approver for code delivered across the platform.
• You will perform code reviews and help ensure compliance with internal standards for TypeScript and Python microservices.
• You will use and refine AI-based tools and agentic workflows to automate pull request reviews, manage repository context and enforce platform standards.
• You will turn business needs into detailed solution designs and implementation-ready Jira stories.
• You will provide clear technical direction and specifications for delivery by an external MSP.
• You will maintain and further develop Terraform modules.
• You will manage the lifecycle of GCP projects, networking configurations and firewall policies.
• You will oversee CI/CD workflows in GitHub Actions.
• You will work with custom NPM packages and event-driven cloud solutions using services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Functions and Eventarc.

• Senior-level experience as a Software Engineer, Platform Engineer or Cloud Engineer.
• Strong experience working with Google Cloud Platform.
• Advanced programming skills in TypeScript and Python.
• Solid experience with microservice-based architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Experience with GCP services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Functions and Eventarc.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, firewall policies and project lifecycle management.
• Experience performing technical code reviews and acting as a technical gatekeeper.
• Ability to create detailed solution designs, technical specifications and implementation-ready Jira stories.
• Experience coordinating or providing technical direction to external delivery partners or MSPs.
• Professional proficiency in English.

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools, automated code review solutions or agentic workflows.
• Experience developing internal developer platforms or enterprise-scale cloud platforms.
• Experience managing custom NPM packages.
• Previous experience in a technical lead or cloud architect capacity.
